SULAIMANI (ESTA) — Patriotic Union of Kurdistan (PUK) President Bafel Talabani on Wednesday in Sulaimani met with French Ambassador to Iraq Eric Chevalier.
In the meeting, Iraq and the Kurdistan Region’s political situation was discussed, and persisting talks to address Baghdad-Kurdistan issues on the foundation of the constitution were stressed.
The PUK President explained his party’s view on the Kurdistan Region political situation and steps to overcome the obstacles to the Ambassador.
“It is evident to everyone that we have a constant belief in cooperation. People’s lives and welfare are our responsibility and we will make every effort for that,” Talabani said.
