CTG forces arrest two suspects in disputed Daquq district

SULAIMANI (ESTA) — Kurdistan’s Counter-Terrorism Group (CTG) forces Late Friday announced that it had arrested two suspects in the disputed Daquq district on terrorism charges.

A statement released by the General Directorate of the CTG forces stated that it had conducted a joint operation with the Iraqi Counter-Terrorism Service (ICTS) in Kirkuk’s Daquq.

“Relying on the intelligence information, two suspects were arrested as a result in Yaraqun village of Daququ district,” read the statement from the CTG.

It added that the suspects have been handed to the judiciary for legal proceedings.
