Erbil: large fire burns down Restaurant with no casualties

SULAIMANI (ESTA) — Fire burned down a Restaurant on Saturday morning in Erbil with no casualties.

“Top Organic Restaurant” was destroyed by flames in the early hours of the morning on Erbil 100m street. Firefighters tried to tackle it for more than hours.

According to the civil defense teams, it started around 7 a.m. inside the kitchen of the Restaurant. The fire then grew and moved to engulf the entire building.

The roof of the burned site collapsed due to the blaze. The restaurant’s layout and some propane tanks that were near to be exploded made work for crews even harder.

Even though the authorities said the fire came from the kitchen, they don’t know yet what exactly caused the blaze and a probe has been launched.

There were no casualties.
