SULAIMANI (ESTA) — The Iraqi National Security service said it had arrested a suspect charged with murder in coordination with Sulaimani Security forces (Asayish), according to a statement on Monday.
A force from the Iraqi National Security service arrested a suspect who had earlier murdered a retired Iraqi officer in the central province of Anbar, it said in the statement.
“After obtaining the judge’s consent and tracking the suspect’s location the Iraqi National Security service in coordination with Asayish arrested the suspect in Sulaimani,” the statement added.
The suspect has been handed to the judiciary for prosecution, according to the statement.
