SULAIMANI (ESTA) — The Kurdistan Regional Government (KRG) deputy prime minister, Qubad Talabani, and the head of Iraqi National Wisdom (Hikma) Movement, Ammar Al-Hakim, discussed on Monday Kurdistan-Baghdad relations, according to a statement.
Talabani and Hakim had met in the Iraqi capital, Baghdad, where they highlighted the latest developments in the political arena of Iraq, said the KRG deputy prime minister’s office in a statement.
The pair stressed the importance of providing a convenient political atmosphere, making the Federal government implement its agenda.
They also underlined the importance of persisting the political discussions until reaching the resolution of Erbil-Baghdad’s outstanding issues in the constitution and fulfilling the public interest.
It further stated that the two sides touched upon the internal situation of the Kurdistan Region. They laid emphasis that the political forces must establish political tranquility for the sake of the public interest, according to the statement.
