SULAIMANI (ESTA) — Officials from the Patriotic Union of Kurdistan (PUK) and the Kurdistan Democratic Party (KDP) will meet on Saturday, the spokesman of the PUK said.
Speaking at a press conference, the PUK spokesman, Soran Jamal Tahir revealed that the two sides are set to meet in Sulaimani.
According to the spokesman, both sides are expected to discuss their inter-party issues.
He also stated that the PUK insists on holding the parliamentary elections but the electoral law must be amended in the Kurdistan parliament.
“The issues must be resolved and the previous agreement that had been made to form the Kurdistan Regional Government’s ninth cabinet must be implemented,” he said.
The spokesman added that the PUK governmental team will return to the Kurdistan Region Council of Ministers meetings, he said in the press conference.
“We want to address the issues with the KDP through dialogue,” he added.
