KRG Deputy Prime Minister receives newly-appointed British Consul General

File – The KRG Deputy Prime minister and the British Consul General in Erbil.

SULAIMANI (ESTA) — The Kurdistan Regional Government (KRG) Deputy Prime Minister, Qubad Talabani, met with the newly-appointed British Consul General in Erbil on Wednesday.

According to a press release, Talabani in Sulaimani received Rosy Cave, the new British Consul General. In a meeting the Kurdish official welcomed Cave and hoped to succeed in her works, the press release added.

During the meeting, Talabani and Cave shed the light on the internal disputes of the Kurdistan Region and ways to address them.

The pair have also discussed Kurdistan-Baghdad relations during which Talabani stressed overcoming the local obstacles to advocate the Region’s financial rights in the national budget of 2023.

They further stressed their bilateral ties and joint work in the upcoming stage.
