SULAIMANI (ESTA) — Bodies of two migrants are set to be repatriated to the Kurdistan Region on Monday, Lutka Foundation for Refugees and Displaced Affairs said.

Back then,  a migrant boat sank off in Greece waters on November 11 last year. Greek coastguard discovered the bodies of two Kurdish migrants, Zana Qadir and Zryan Mohammed, inside November’s incident.

Bodies of both drowned Kurdish migrants are set to be repatriated to their hometowns via Erbil international airport, according to Lutka on Thursday.

Greece is one of the main routes into the European Union for migrants and refugees from Africa, the Middle East, and beyond. It was the frontline of Europe’s migration crisis in 2015 and 2016, when a million refugees fleeing war and poverty from Syria, Iraq, and Afghanistan arrived, mainly via Turkey.
