SULAIMANI (ESTA) — The Deputy of the Kurdistan Region Prime Minister, Qubad Talabani, on Wednesday, met with the newly-appointed Kuwait Consul General in Erbil.
The Kurdish official and the Kuwaiti diplomat discussed the political situation in the Patriotic Union of Kurdistan (PUK) politburo in Erbil, the Deputy Premier’s office read in a statement.
“The state of Kuwait has coordinated and supported the Kurdish people, and it has shown nice stances during the time of difficulty,” Talabani said, according to the statement.
The statement also added that Talabani and the Kuwait diplomat have also discussed bolstering the bilateral relations. Moreover, they stressed further coordination and joint work.
