PUK President, Kurdistan’s senior security officials meet

SULAIMANI (ESTA) — The Patriotic Union of Kurdistan (PUK) President, Bafel Talabani, on Monday, met with senior security officials in Sulaimani’s Dabashan area.

The president met with, Kurdistan’s Protection and Information/Information Agency Director, the Director of Sulaimani security forces, the Counter-Terrorism Group (CTG) Director, the deputy commander of the Kurdistan Commando Forces, the Chief of operation forces in the Kurdistan Region security service, read Talabani’s office in a statement.

Moreover, the meeting was also attended by Qubad Talabani, the head of President Mam Jalal’s secretariat office, during which he praised the devotion of the security forces to protect the Region’s stability, people’s lives, and executing the court’s decisions, the office in the statement added.

He further called on the security forces to be prepared against any developments that jeopardize the people’s lives and the stability of the Region.

Moreover, during the meeting, the President highlighted the rule of law and the execution of the court’s decisions, adding that “The stability of our land and our people are above anything else.”

“We will not allow anyone to break the law,” the president stressed, according to the statement.

The President also demanded the officials in the meeting confront anyone that disrupts people’s security and violates laws boundaries.
