Iraqi Security Service arrests man charged with committing 100 murders

SULAIMANI (ESTA) — The Iraqi National Security Service arrested an “extremely dangerous” wanted suspect in Diyala province on Monday.

The National Security Service arrested a man known as Ahmed Rumiyah. Ahmed is accused of committing more than a hundred crimes in Diyala, it said in a statement.

The suspect is charged with committing 100 murder crimes and being involved in several cases of abduction, fleeing from the law for nearly six years, according to the statement.

The suspect was arrested in Kirkuk following an order by the Commander-in-chief of the Iraqi armed forces based on intelligence information, where he also attempted to escape to Iran, it added in the statement.

*Note: the title has been corrected he is charged with committing 100 murders not 40.
