Kirkuk: Kurdish man, 45, dies after Federal Security forces arrest him

SULAIMANI (ESTA) — A 45-year-old Kurdish man died in the city of Kirkuk after he had been arrested by the Federal Security forces, said family, relatives, and Esta reporter.

The Man used to be a government employee. His death came after he had been arrested by the security forces on Wednesday, said Esta reporter.

“At the pre-dawn hours we were notified to come and take back the body of our son in Kirkuk’s Republic hospital,” said the deceased’s family on Thursday.

There were no immediate comments from Kirkuk’s official, and no information was there on why the security forces had arrested the 45-year-old employee.

The forces arrested him inside his house in Kirkuk’s Shorawa neighborhood, according to the words from the deceased’s family.

Esta reporter said that the man who died had suffered from chronological diabetes, but the cause of his death still remained unclear.
