SULAIMANI (ESTA) — Iran’s Islamic Revolutionary Guards Corps (IRGC) bombed Kurdish dissidents’ sites north of Kirkuk Province on Tuesday, said Kurdistan Counter-Terrorism Service.
In less than one week IRGC has twice bombed the Kurdish opposition bases in the Kurdistan Region with the latest one hitting the Free Kurdistan Party in Kirkuk’s Prde sub-district today.
Kurdistan Counter-Terrorism Service confirmed the IRGC’s bombing, without further elaboration.
Casualties and damages remained unclear.
“In today’s operation, the base of a separatist terrorist group near Kirkuk, known as the Free Kurdistan Party, was targeted by missiles and kamikaze drones,” Iran’s semi-official Tasnim News said.
Despite the “strong” condemnations from the foreign missions and local authorities, IRGC’s fresh attack marked the fourth in the Region during the last two months with keep renewing threats to eradicate the Kurdish opposition groups there by using force.
The Revolutionary Guards have attacked Iranian Kurdish militant opposition bases in the Region since the death of Kurdish woman Mahsa Amini on Sept. 16 triggered nationwide unrest.
Iran has accused Kurdish opposition militants of fomenting the unrest.
