SULAIMANI (ESTA) — President of the Patriotic Union of Kurdistan (PUK) Bafel Talabani Sunday in the Iraqi capital welcomed Secretary-General of Asa’ib Ahl al-Haq Qais Khazali along with Secretary-General of the Iraqi Babylon movement Rayan al-Kldani.
PUK President in Baghdad at Mam Jalal palace received both Khazali and Kldani, where they met and discussed the new Iraqi government agenda as well as succeeding the reform process, according to a statement from Talabani’s office.
During the meeting, the officials stressed offering more service by the government with the implementation of the government’s agenda, the statement said.
They also asked the government to fulfill its duty in the frame of law and constitution, looking at all sides with one eye, the statement added.
Moreover, President Talabani reiterated PUK’s eagerness to succeed in the government’s agenda to the officials, adding “We want this cabinet to meet the people’s needs.”
“It shall put serving, combating corruption, and preserving stability in its priority. For that reason all sides must be supporters,” he said.
