SULAIMANI (ESTA) — President of the Kurdistan Region Nechirvan Barzani on Saturday extended his condolences to the people of South Korea over the deadly stampede in Seoul.
At least 153 people were crushed to death when a crowd in the South Korean capital surged into an alleyway during Halloween festivities.
“On behalf of the people of the Kurdistan Region, I extend my heartfelt condolences to the people and government of South Korea on the tragic loss of dozens of people during Halloween celebrations in Seoul,” President Barzani said.
“My thoughts and prayers are with the victims’ families and friends,” he added.
