KRG delegation visits Baghdad for talks on Erbil-Baghdad issues

SULAIMANI (ESTA) — A delegation from the Kurdistan Region visited Baghdad on Thursday for talks with Iraqi officials on the issues between both sides, a senior official said. 

The Kurdistan Regional Government (KRG) delegation led by Minister of Finance and Economy Awat Sheikh Janab includes Minister of State for Federal Affairs Khalid Shwani and Mohammed Hakim, the finance minister said in a statement.

Sheikh Janab added that the delegation would meet Iraqi finance minister Ali Allawi to discuss the Region’s share of the federal budget for fiscal year 2021.

A source from the KRG Council of Ministers told Esta Media Network that the delegation would discuss the Region’s share of the federal budget and salaries of public servants with the Iraqi officials.
