Deadly traffic collision killed 15 in Bakur, Gaziantep region: governor

SULAIMANI (ESTA) — Deadly traffic collision on Saturday killed 15 as a passenger bus crashed into an ambulance, a firefighter truck, and a journalist live-stream van in the southern Turkish region of Gaziantep (Bakur). 

Local emergencies reported a massive road accident that occurred on the Gaziantep-Nizip Highway in Turkey resulting in the deaths of 15 people and injuring 22.

Gaziantep Governor Davut Gul confirmed the number of the victims in the accident, saying 15 people died.

“According to the initial reports, the accident involving a bus, a firefighter truck, and a journalist live-stream van in Gaziantep-Nizip Highway,” the governor said on his Twitter account.

“15 of our citizens, including 3 firefighters, 2 paramedics, and 2 journalists, died and 22 of our citizens have been injured,” He said.
