Two rockets target Turkish military base in Iraq’s Nineveh, no casualties

SULAIMANI (ESTA) — At least two rockets targeted Bashiqa Military base in Iraq’s Nineveh province with no casualties, the Kurdistan counter-terrorism service (CTS) on Monday said.

Erbil-based or Kurdistan Democratic Party-affiliated anti-terror group (CTS), in a statement, said that Zlikan military base which hosts Turkish troops in Nineveh’s Bashiqa district was hit by two rockets.

“One of the rockets was landed inside the base, and the other one hit Gudad village near to the base’s vicinity,” it said.

No group has claimed the responsibility for the attack so far.

“The attack did not cause any casualties or damages” it added.
