Shiite coordination framework to hold ‘important’ and ‘decisive’ meeting tomorrow: source

SULAIMANI (ESTA) — The Shiite coordination framework will hold an important meeting on Thursday in Baghdad, it is decisive according to an informed source.

A leading figure inside the coordination asked not to be named told the Iraqi media on Wednesday that, they will hold an important meeting to make decisions regarding Iraq’s next stage.

“The meeting will discuss the calls toward holding an early election and the dissolution of the parliament as well as Sadr’s supporter’s sit-in in Baghdad’s fortified Green Zone” according to the source.

The political process in Iraq is quite paralyzed since October 2021 general elections. 10 months have passed the country has been unable to form a new government. That’s the longest period since the 2003 U.S. invasion that reset the political order.
