“Iraq has plan to hold borderline with Turkey” says Deputy Commander of Joint Operations

SULAIMANI (ESTA) — The Deputy Commander of the Joint Operations on Tuesday said Iraq has a plan to hold the borderline with Turkey.

Earlier today, A high Iraqi Security delegation arrived in Zakho northwest of Duhok province in the morning, according to the country’s security media cell said.

The delegation was headed by the deputy commander of the joint operations between Erbil and Baghdad, Lieutenant General Abdul Amir Al-Shammari. Aimed to investigate Turkey’s attacks, and visit the headquarter of Iraq’s border guard brigade.

“Iraq has a complete plan to hold the borderline with Turkey,” Lieutenant General Shammari said following the visit.

“The plan will be exposed to Iraq’s Prime Minister Mustafa al-Kadimi who is also the commander in chief of the Iraqi armed forces” Shammari added.

The commander pointed out that, Turkey’s size of its army has been discussed in the areas, and the delegation conducted a complete assessment of the borderline, as reported by the Iraq news agency.
