Shiite coordination framework says it condemns all kinds of ‘espionage’

SULAIMANI (ESTA) — The Shiite coordination framework said on Tuesday following the leakage of recorded audio attributed to Nouri al-Maliki, “it condemns all kinds of espionage”.

In a statement, the coordination announced, that the authentication of the leaked audio has been sent to court.

“We condemn all kinds of espionage, that does not meet with Iraqi society’s value and morality”, adding “We denounce targeting the religious figure, national, and political force as well as security institutions”.

Based on the statement, the coordination also stressed, that it extended its hand to all national forces in order to agree on a roadmap to escape this prolonged situation.

“We demand unity and national support, far from upheavals as well as reaction,” it said.

Several recorded audio has been circulated on social media recently in which Sadr’s political rival Nouri al-Maliki despise Sadr and threats to engage in battle with him.

According to the leaked audio, attributed to the head of the state of law, Nouri al-Maliki has made an oath to prevent Sadr’s political project, adding that the next phase of Iraq would be fighting.

Iraq’s judicial council said it will investigate the leaked recorded audio in which Nouri al-Maliki threats Shia cleric Muqtada al-Sadr, according to a statement released by the council on Tuesday.
