Former Secretary of Kurdistan Communist Party (KCPI) dies at 100

SULAIMANI (ESTA) — Former Secretary of the Kurdistan Communist Party of Iraq (KSPI) passed away at the age of 100 in Erbil on Thursday.

Secretary Karim Ahmad died at the age of 100 early on Thursday morning, he used to be the Secretary of the Kurdistan Communist Party for two years.

Ahmad’s burial ceremony is scheduled to be held at 4:00 p.m. local time. He was born in 1922 in the Baqrta village of Koysinaq district in Sulaimani province.

Ahmed was involved in politics at an early age. He was the secretary of the party but lost the position for two years (1953-1955). Also became the secretary of the Communist Party of Kurdistan.
