Turkish drone strike hit refugee camp in southeast of Erbil – source

SULAIMANI (ESTA) — Turkish drone strike hit a house located in Judi Camp Makhmour refugees camp in southeast of Erbil on Tuesday, no casualties were reported, a source in the camp confirmed for Esta Media Network.

“Turkish drone attack struck a house in Judi Camp with no casualties but caused material damage on Tuesday’s noon”, the source told Esta.

Meanwhile, KDP-affiliated or Erbil-based Kurdistan counter-terrorism said in a statement that the attack targeted Kurdistan Workers’ Party (PKK) headquarters inside the camp.

Turkey has repeatedly carried out attacks on the camp targeting high-ranking members of PKK, it was established in the 1990s when thousands of Kurds from Turkey crossed the border in a movement, however, Ankara says it has been turned into a safe house for the Kurdistan Worker’s Party (PKK) senior members.
