After collecting precise intel, top ISIS leader what so-called ‘Abu Mansour’, along with three other members of the terror group, have been killed through Iraq’s military forces bombardment.
“Abu Mansour had various responsibilities inside ISIS terror group, for instance targeting civilians in the international highway in al-Rutba district, between Iraq and Jordan,” it said.
In 2014 ISIS, ISIL, or Daesh held about 40 percent of Iraq’s soil.
However, by December 2017 it had lost most of its territory, and its biggest property, Mosul, Iraq’s second-largest city, after the U.S.-led collation forces and Kurdish Peshmerga fighters along with Iraqi military forces including popular mobilization forces, had fought side by side to defeat the ISIS caliphate in the country and they succeed by the end of that year.
Small groups of ISIS have still remained, they utilized the instability of the region for regrouping so that they can continue their attempts to harm the country’s security.
