Bafel Jalal Talabani meets Kurdistan Region Prime Minister

SULAIMANI (ESTA) — The president of the Patriotic Union of Kurdistan Bafel Jalal Talabani met with the Kurdistan Region prime minister Masrour Barzani on Saturday in Erbil.

A high delegation of the Patriotic Union of Kurdistan (PUK) led by Bafel Jalal Talabani met with the Kurdistan Region Prime Minister Masrour Barzani along with the deputy of the prime minister Qubad Talabani in Erbil, according to a statement released by Talabani’s media office on Saturday.

The meeting emphasized the importance of supporting the Kurdistan Region government and its reform agenda that aims to further serving of the citizens, the statement reads.

“Talabani stressed his support to succeed KRG’s reform agenda, advocating the rights and achievement of the Kurdistan people,” it said.

In return, Prime Minister Masrour Barzani has pointed out that the Kurdistan Region government has a joint reform agenda for all participating parties of the government.

“We should work as one team in cooperation with all Kurdish political parties for the sake of implementing the government’s agenda so that we can serve all citizens throughout the Kurdistan Region,” the Prime Minister said according to the statement.
