SULAIMANI (ESTA) — Iran and Venezuela signed a 20 years document that promotes strategic cooperation between the countries, Iran’s state TV reported on Saturday.
The document was signed after Venezuelan president Nicolas Maduro paid a visit to Iran and met with his counterpart Ebrahim Raisi on Friday, According to IRNA.
“The Venezuelan president has visited Tehran at the invitation of his Iranian counterpart,” IRNA said.
The paper was signed in the presence of both presidents during a ceremony held in north Tehran’s Saadabad Palace.
Later the content of the signed document was presented in a joint press conference showing that it includes cooperation in the fields of oil, petrochemicals, tourism, and culture between the countries.
“The relations between Iran and Venezuela were strategic and the two countries would keep up the ties as proven by signing a 20-year cooperation document,” the president of Iran said as stated by IRNA.
