SULAIMANI (ESTA) — Two children were killed in Turkish air strikes in the Kurdistan Region’s district of Amedi on Thursday, according to Esta Media Network reporter.

Esta’s reporter in Duhok said Turkish fighter jets carried out air strikes in the village of Zewa in Bamarni sub-district in Amedi, northeast of Duhok.

Two children who had visited the area were killed in the strikes, he added.

Meanwhile, the counter terrorism service affiliated with the Kurdistan Democratic Party accused the Kurdistan Workers’ Party (PKK) of firing rockets at Aradna village in the sub-district.

“Two civilians were martyred and two others were wounded,” it said in a statement posted to its official Facebook page.
