SULAIMANI (ESTA) — A Kurdish television and radio station was attacked with rockets in Duhok province late on Tuesday, Esta Media Network’s reporter said.
The reporter in Duhok said the rockets targeted Duhok television and Radio station in Zakho administration in northwest of Duhok.
There were no casualties in the attack, he added.
“One of our broadcasting station was attacked, causing material damages,” Kurdistan Democratic Party (KDP) media and culture department said in a statement.
“The broadcasting of Duhok radio, Duhok television, Dalal television and Zakho radio was interrupted due to the attack which caused material damages to the building and equipment,” it added.
No group has claimed responsibility for the attack, but authorities in the area accuse the Kurdistan Workers’ Party (PKK) of the attack. The Kurdish group has increased its attacks on Turkish troops present in the province.
