SULAIMANI (ESTA) — Turkish warplanes bombed a village in Duhok province late on Thursday, damaging vehicles and houses.
Esta Media Network reporter said Turkish fighter jets carried out airstrikes in Hirure village in Amedi district, northeast of Duhok, on Thursday night.
The airstrike damaged civilian vehicles and houses of a number of people in the village, he added.
No casualties were reported, he said.
Turkey intermittently carries out airstrikes and artillery shelling against suspected positions of the Kurdistan Workers Party (PKK) on the Kurdistan Region’s border areas with Turkey and Iran.
The Turkish military has also conducted numerous ground and aerial cross-border offensives into neighboring northern Iraq to attack PKK fighters, who maintains bases in the region.
