SULAIMANI (ESTA) — Iraq will continue to export 10,000 barrels of oil per day (bpd) to Jordan, according to Jordanian media.

The two countries agreed to extend a memorandum of understanding in which Jordan will import 10,000 bpd of Kirkuk oil, Jordan’s state news agency reported, according to Reuters.

The oil will be transported to the Jordan Petroleum Refinery in Zarqa, it added.

The MoU extension came after Jordan’s King Abdulla II hosted Iraqi Prime Minister Mustafa al-Kadhimi, Abu Dhabi Crown Prince Sheikh Mohammed bin Zayed al-Nahyan, and Egyptian President Abdel Fattah al-Sisi in the Red Sea port city of Aqaba on Friday, according to AFP.

The meeting was “consultive”, according to the state television said.

AFP cited an official source as saying that the “consultive brotherly meeting dealt with recent international and regional developments”.
