Former member of KDP leadership council Adham Barzani

SULAIMANI (ESTA) — A former Kurdistan Democratic Party (KDP) official said on Friday his life was in danger after a drone flew over his house in Erbil.

“A drone is flying over my house and the relevant authorities should be aware that there is a danger to the security of myself and my children,” said Adham Barzani, former member of the Kurdistan Democratic Party (KDP) leadership.

Barzani held several positions in the KDP and is the cousin of KDP leader Masoud Barzani.

The former KDP official said another drone was flying over his house few minutes after he informed the security forces about the first one, which he said headed toward Harir air base.

“We are concerned of the security of myself and my children. I consider the situation dangerous on us,” he added.
