Source denies reports that director of Kurdistan’s information agency was changed

SULAIMANI (ESTA) — A source at the Protection and Information/Information Agency denied reports on Tuesday that the director of the agency had been changed.

“We explain to all sides that Azhi Amin, the head of the Kurdistan Region’s Protection and Information/Information Agency, continues to carry out his duties,” said the source, who spoke under condition of anonymity.

“The baseless news that has been published is untrue,” the source added.

The agency will take legal actions against media outlets and channels that published such baseless news, the source continued.

In July, Deputy Prime Minister Qubad Talabani appointed Amin as the new head of the protection and information/information agency.
