Two students died, 33 injured in traffic collision in Sinjar

SULAIMANI (ESTA) — Two students died and 33 others were wounded in a traffic collision in Sinjar on Sunday, Esta Media Network and a local official said.

Director of Sinune sub-district Khudeda Chuki said a Nissan civilian bus carrying students collided with a military tanker truck on the road between Khanasur community and Sinune in Sinjar on Sunday evening.

Thirty-five students were injured in the collision, he told Esta Media Network.

Six of the students were transferred to a hospital in Mosul due to their “critical condition”, the official noted.

Two of the students succumbed to their injuries, according to Esta Media Network reporter.
