KRG announces New Year holiday

SULAIMANI (ESTA) — The Kurdistan Regional Government (KRG) on Tuesday announced an eight-day holiday for the New Year.

In a statement, the KRG Department of Media and information said the public holiday would start from December 25 until January 1, 2022.

“It will be holiday in all the government institutions including governmental and private education sectors from December 25 until January 1, 2022,” the statement said.

It further said they would be opened on January 2, 2022, according to the statement.
