SULAIMANI (ESTA) — Sinjar Self-Administration said on Sunday it has suspended work at the public and private institutions until further notice.

“Work will be suspended at the government and non-government institutions and organizations,” the self-administration said in its decision to Sinjar district and its surrounding areas.

The decision took effective on Sunday until further notice, the Yazidi-led democratic self-administration board added, without elaboration.

“Any employee who violates the decision will bear responsibility,” it continued.

There was no immediate comment from Iraqi authorities.
