SULAIMANI (ESTA) — An Iraqi court has issued an arrest warrant for a cleric who is close to Iran on charges of terrorism, according to the warrant.
Najaf criminal court demands the security forces and police in the arrest warrant to arrest against Hamid Husseini, head of the Iraqi Radio and Television Union.
The warrant, signed by judge Ali Abdul al-Hadi, said the lawsuit was filed by the directorate of intelligence and counter-terrorism in Najaf.
Hussein was accused of involvement in an attack on Al-Rafidain Center for Dialogue in Najaf, according to Iraqi media.
Another warrant was issued on the same charges against Ammar Ibrahim Talal al-Bouamer, according to Sharq al-Awsat.
