Iraqi military plane crash kills pilot, assistant in Saladin

SULAIMANI (ESTA) — An Iraqi military plane crashed on Saturday during a training mission in Saladin province, killing two of its crew members, the Iraqi military said.

Iraqi Security Media Cell said in a statement that a technical malfunction occurred in the Cessna Caravan 172 which burned and crashed in Sayd Mohammed area near Balad town, some 90 km north of Baghdad.

The incident resulted in the killing of the pilot and his assistant, the Iraqi military added.
