Minister dismisses directors of Parvez Khan border crossing, customs

SULAIMANI (ESTA) — Kurdistan Regional Government (KRG) minister of finance and economy dismissed directors of Parvez Khan border crossing and Garmian customs from their positions, Esta Media Network has learned.

Esta Media Network reporter said the directors had yet to receive official communiques of their dismissal but they were informed by phone calls.

“It is likely they will receive the decision today,” the reporter added.

Their dismissal came after drivers went on a strike and closed the border crossing with Iran for several days. The drivers ended their strike on Tuesday.
