Lightning wounds two Peshmerga in Kurdistan Region

SULAIMANI (ESTA) — Two members of the Peshmerga forces were wounded by lightning strikes in the Kurdistan Region, the ministry of Peshmerga said on Saturday.

In a statement, the Peshmerga ministry said the two Peshmerga were on duty when lightning struck the area in Taq Taq sub-district on Friday night.

Taq Taq is located in 97 kilometers southeast of Erbil.

“They are in a stable condition and receive treatment at the hospital,” the ministry added.
