KDP delegation in meeting with PUK co-president in Sulaimani

SULAIMANI (ESTA) — A delegation from the Kurdistan Democratic Party (KDP) on Monday visited the Patriotic Union of Kurdistan (PUK) to meet with Co-president Bafel Talabani.

At the PUK politburo in Sulaimani, Talabani welcomed the KDP delegation led by secretary of KDP’s politburo Fazil Mirani.

The delegation also included members of the KDP politburo Mahmoud Othman and Arif Tayfur and members of KDP’s leadership council Ali Hussein and Ali Shahab.

Talabani also heads a PUK delegation, including Amin Baba Sheikh, Shalaw Ali Askar and Aso Mamand.

The officials are expected to discuss the formation of a new Iraqi government and mechanisms for Kurds to participate in the new federal government.

The KDP delegation is also expected to visit Change Movement (Gorran) in Sulaimani.
