Turkish warplanes bomb areas near Zini Warte, Asos and Safra mountains – reporter

SULAIMANI (ESTA) — Turkish warplanes on Friday bombed several areas near Zini Warte and Asos and Safra mountains in northeast of Erbil, the reporter said.

Esta Media Network reporter said the warplanes had carried out several strikes near Zuni Warte and on Asos and Safra mountains since Friday morning.

Elsewhere, the Turkish jets flew in the skies of Haji Omran and Mount Qandil early on Friday, according to the reporter.

Residents in Rania district also heard sound of warplanes flying in the skies of the area

Turkey has taken its decades-old conflict with the PKK deep into the Kurdistan Region, establishing military bases and deploying armed military drones against the fighters in their mountain strongholds.

Most of the operations have focused on territory up to 30 km (20 miles) from the border.
