SULAIMANI (ESTA) — Russia said on Monday it would resume passenger flights with Iraq and several other countries from September 21.
Russia imposed wide-ranging travel restrictions at the start of the coronavirus pandemic in March 2020, many of which remain in force.
Russia’s coronavirus task force said it had decided flights could resume after it had assessed the epidemiological situation in those countries, according to Reuters.
The government said the Moscow-Baghdad routes would relaunch with two flights a week.
Russia also resumed flights with Spain, Kenya and Slovakia, and would increase the number of airports with flights to Turkey and Egypt, it added.
