SULAIMANI (ESTA) — A Turkish military shelling on Ain Issa area in northern Syria killed a father and three children, media outlets reported on Wednesday.
Hawar news agency (ANHA) reported that the Turkish military shelled a house of a civilian in the village of Sefawiya in eastern Ain Issa sub-district on the M4 highway early on Wednesday.
North press agency said two other civilians were also wounded in the shelling.
The Turkish military also targeted the village with “heavy weapons” on Tuesday, according to ANHA.
Ain Issa, where the clashes erupt intermittently, sits along the M4 highway that links major Syrian cities and where the Russian-Turkish patrols usually take place.
The area, east of the Euphrates river, also has a sprawling camp for displaced people where the Syrian Democratic Forces (SDF) has held families of Islamic State (ISIS) fighters, including foreigners.
