Iraq announces 3,107 new cases of coronavirus, 60 deaths

SULAIMANI (ESTA) — Iraqi Ministry of Health said on Monday that it had registered 3,107 new coronavirus infections and 60 deaths in the past 24 hours.

In a statement, the health ministry said it had logged 1,268 cases in Baghdad, 291 in Erbil, 246 in Duhok, 183 in Sulaimani, 149 in Diyala, 140 in Babil, 135 in Wasit, 112 in Kirkuk, 104 in Nineveh and 103 in Basra.

The ministry of health further said it had recorded 73 other cases in Najaf, 73 more in Maysan, 63 in Saladin, 59 in Dhi Qar, 41 in Anbar, 32 in Diwaniyah, 21 in Karbala and 14 in Muthanna.

It added that 3,893 more patients had recovered from COVID-19 in the previous 24 hours.

The total number of infections in Iraq reached 405,437, of which 9,912 died and 340,050 recovered, according to the Iraqi health ministry.
