SULAIMANI – (ESTA) Bafel Jalal Talabani, the president of Patriotic Union of Kurdistan (PUK) met with Qais al-Khazali, the Secretary-General of the Asa’ib Ahl al-Haq, in Baghdad.
The meeting discussed the latest political, economic and security developments, and reaffirmed the continuity of dialogue between the parties forming the government within the framework of the state management coalition in order to resolve issues and provide services.
During the meeting, President Talabani stressed the coordination and joint work between the parties and said, “The situation requires the efforts of all and we must be concerned about the future and lives of our people.”.
Resolving the issues between Erbil and Baghdad, especially the issue of salaries and entitlements of the Kurdistan Region was another topic of the meeting and both sides emphasized the commitment to the agreements and protect the rights of all parties within the framework of the constitution.
