SULAIMANI – (ESTA) Bafel Jalal Talabani, President of the Patriotic Union of Kurdistan (PUK) visited Kirkuk today.
The purpose of the visit is to oversee the campaigns of the coalition list (Kirkuk is our might and determination) for the provincial council elections in Kirkuk, which have been underway for more than 40 days.
Together with the coalition (Kirkuk is our might and determination), the PUK and the Communist Party of Kurdistan will run for provincial council in Kirkuk with a combined number of 142.
On Monday, December 18, provincial council elections are slated to take place in the Kirkuk and all other provinces in Iraq, with the exception of the Kurdistan Region.
