Genel, partners received over $42 million from KRG for oil sales: company

SULAIMANI (ESTA) — Genel Energy plc said on Tuesday that it had received payments from the Kurdistan Regional Government (KRG) for oil sales during November.

The oil company said in a statement that Genel and its partners had received a gross payment of $42.3 million from the KRG for November oil sales in Taq Taq and Tawke oilfields in the Kurdistan Region.

“The Taq Taq partners have received a gross payment of $3.8 million, with Genel’s net share of the payment being $2.1 million,” the company said.

Genel added that its Tawke partners had received a gross payment of $38.5 million, with its net share being $9.4 million.

The company said on December 1 that the KRG had paid $36.8 million to Genel and its partners for October oil sales in the Taq Taq and Tawke oilfields.
