SULAIMANI (ESTA) — A man on Saturday was shot dead in Prde town, northern Kirkuk province.
The Director of Prde town confirmed that the man was killed inside the local Bazar of the town,
“The motive behind the shooting was as an act of retribution,” Prde’s Director told Esta.
The victim, identified as Ghazi, was of Kurdish descent.
The Dircoter added that Ghazi had previously been involved in a murder case several years ago in the City of Erbil, Kurdistan Region.
After serving his sentence in prison, Ghazi was released and subsequently decided to relocate to Prde.
On Saturday, the family of the deceased sought retribution for their loss, resulting in the fatal shooting of Ghazi, according to the director’s words.
The alleged perpetrator was reported to be an Arab gunman.
