SULAIMANI (ESTA) — Iraqi nationalities took third place last August for real estate investment in Turkey, an Iraqi media outlet on Saturday reported.
An Iraqi media outlet cited a report from Turkey’s commission of statistics as saying that foreigners’ investment in real estate business dropped by 10.1% percent last August.
Antalya province in southeastern Turkey’s coast has claimed the first place for investing in real estate business by foreigners, selling 1,814 houses and flats across the province.
Followed by Antalya, Istanbul took second place then Mersin claimed the third position.
During the past eight-month, 44,095 houses and flats were sold to foreigners, the number surged by 44.6% in comparison to 2021, according to the report.
Iraqis had occupied the first place for real estate investment in Turkey in 2015, but with the beginning of 2021, the Iranians claimed the position.
