SULAIMANI (ESTA) — A suspect was detained for murdering his father on September, 13, the directorate of the security forces (Asayish) on Thursday said.
Earlier on August, 13, a homicide case was reported in chamchamal’s district Bngrd village northeast of the Kurdistan Region.
The security forces at that time reached the crime site and said that a 48-year-old man has been murdered in his own house.
The directorate in a statement seen by Esta Media Network said that their forces detained a suspect related to the incident, he murdered his father and was detained on Sep, 14.
The suspect confessed his crime to the security forces, killing his father when he fell asleep with a pistol, according to the statement.
“I killed my father with a pistol then called to the security forces, telling them my father has been killed,” the suspect told Asayish while the confession.
“I hid the pistol with an AK-47 weapon in our village [Bngrd],” He said.
Adding more detail to the homicide case Asayish’s statement said, the suspect killed his father over a family-related issue.
